Altitude: 9,500 feet

Began the morning in the Bear Lake area, hiking around Nymph Lake, down to Alberta Falls, and ending back around Bear Lake.
Best to get there early - the beautiful scenery can easily be ruined by dozens of screaming children.

Estes Park - Home Sweet Home

After two days on the road, making pit stops in Nebraska and Fort Collins to break up the 20+ drive, here I am, finally about to head up into the mountains. Towards Estes Park - where I'll live and work until August 28th. Moving from roughly 5,000 feet up to 8,000 in 22miles from Loveland on up the Big Thompson Canyon.

And for my mama: pictures of my new abode
(keep in mind it's government housing, built over 60 years ago)

Welcome!

Living Room.

My (rather boring) bedroom

Tomorrow when I only have an 9 hour day rather than an 11&a half, I'll post pictures of the "neighborhood."
