Ute Trail

Hiked the Ute Trail, from the Alpine Tundra through the Sub-Alpine, along a wandering stream and down steep cliffs back to the open grassland of Upper Beaver Meadows with two lovely Ranger ladies this afternoon.

Twin Sisters

Hiked to the twin peaks of Twin Sisters this morning. A much more enjoyable hike for me that Estes Cone last week. The morning was quite dewy and the trail was a bit muddy in places, but it was a cool day and the storms remained at bay until I returned safely back to the trailhead.

Above treeline, nearing the peaks

Look at all those little people!

Greedy little marmot who would not let me be.

Back down towards the safety of treeline

Long's Peak, shrouded in clouds. Next month, maybe.
